Wow, you guys get whacked out with each other within seconds there, really boring to read I must say. Asif had a good point with this:

That is an accurate description of what it takes to keep capitalism up and running. Capitalism requires an underclass. You've got to keep them in debt and always hungry for more product. I'm not sure he meant it as an insult, although I have no idea what he normally says. In any case, you all went nuts so fast who cares what any of you have to say.

Now, my sincere word to you as a woman who has seen far too much of this sort of thing from men… Put your hands between your legs and feel around. See? They are still there. They'll always be there. My personal experience is that the men with the biggest are the men who know when not to fight.

I don't know what the equivalent is in women who just as easily get into these fights. I have an awful response I use in arguments like this. But only when I am face to face so they can see me deliver it with a laugh. You know when someone just wants to argue? You just try and try to talk, to ask questions, to engage in a conversation, but they just want to argue. I laugh and say, "You know you can suck my dick on that one." It really disturbs people and puts the proper critique of ill-performed masculinity on the whole exchange.

Ah, you know what God says about all this, just say Allah and walk away. Isn't said that the Prophet (s) only lost his temper a handful of times? Greta Garbo, too, she had a great movie in which she told some guy with this wonderful Swedish voice, "Just valk avay." She also famously said, "I vant to be alone." You know if you got the Qur'an, the Sunna, and a pile of Black and White movies, you got all you need!

I really hope Alt Muslim carries on. It is bar none my favorite website for Muslim News. Shaheed has always been kind to us and supportive through the most trying times here on the site. Decent guy, very decent guy.

No need to worry – we're planning to keep going strong, including a major site redesign and new departments and contributors. Until two months ago, I was a full-time student with a part-time job spending my weekends taking care of two kids! Now, I've got a decent amount of time on my hands to do stuff (for example, in the last two months, I have rebuilt zabihah.com, salatomatic.com, and halalapalooza.com from scratch)
As for the harsh comments on altmuslim.com – it's true I tend to lean a bit more toward the free speech side of things, but I'm trying to keep a lid on things as much as possible without resorting to the drastic step of banning people (which I have done in the past)...
