I’ve served pork to Muslims, who at first were like, “This is good!” and then I told them it was “forbidden meat.” One friend paused, and continued to chow down.

Afterall, I said in my defense, “You drink like a fish, so having some pork product shouldn’t harm your halal diet anyways.”

When you’re half Mexican, how can you avoid the propensity in Mexican cookery to use pork product. This is an obvious Spanish tradition brought by the European colonizers.
