I'm putting together a Cafepress.com store with a bunch of slogans. So far, I have 'Sheep are for Eid', from our banner, and if Cypress doesn't mind, "Sex is The Ultimate Caste". What else do you guys have?

The contents of the store will be made available at the lowest possible prices, and I'm posting the markup for each item in the descriptions. That markup will be put towards the site's hosting fee. If there's any money left over, I'll figure out what to do with it (probably give it away or something, I dunno).

Let the ideas flow!

Update:I've reconsidered. The heck with the markup. It's all selling for whatever Cafepress.com's cost is. I'm putting the store up so that anyone who wants to can have PI merchandise. I'm gonna get me a jacket!

If there's any additional merchandise that anyone wants, as long as Cafepress makes it, I'll put it up in the store.

I've enabled a new image upload and hosting plugin for all users so you can upload and insert images into your posts and comments. In keeping with Drupal's "power before userfriendliness" doctrine, it's a bit tricky, but it works. Under the space where you type the content of your text is a new pane, titled 'Image picker'. It's faily self-explanatory, but if needed, I could be convinced to do a 'how-to' video. Let me know if that's necessary.

So the checks from the ISI and Saudi Arabia didn't come in on time, and Al Qaeda yanked their sponsorship at the last second, which was why I wasn't able to make the site's monthly hosting fee payment on time. Still, Hezbollah helped out with an 11th-hour donation if I would say something nice about them, so here it is: Hezbollah - they haven't killed as many people today as they did yesterday.

Sorry about the outage. Something to do with an expiring credit card.

This particular person is an incredibly eloquent and insightful writer, and she's been with us for some time now. I thought she'd kinda dropped off the map, but I kept her blog up in case she wanted to ever drop by. Somehow I missed that she's been writing on there for some time. It's still very sporadic; only one post in October, a couple in November, but I DO hope she'll continue to grace that space with her superb work..

I'm talking about Muslim Hedonist, whose blog can be found at http://hedonist.progressiveislam.org. Her blog was started way before this 'supersite' was built, so it runs completely independent of ProgressiveIslam.Org, and i've enjoyed reading it ever since.

You know, I kinda expected some vitriol on the site in the wake of the Mumbai attacks, and I wasn't disappointed.

A lot of accusations and recriminations have been tossed around. Some have been simply outlandish, others have been thought-provoking and sincere.

Among these comments are some accusations regarding the purpose and backing of this site, accusations that made me laugh out loud. Seriously. They've been just crazy.

So I'm going to answer a few of them. Just to clear things up.

One of our readers emailed me earlier today and accused the site of censoring his comments, as none of them were appearing on the site. Given that we've had a pretty open-door policy on readers and commenters, I couldn't figure out why this was the case.

As you can see, we've got a bit of a new look. Think of this as an 'interim makeover', if you will. The site's ongoing development, which has been happening in fits and starts, has been taking up quite a bit of time, and the old theme and features were getting very, very stale.

So last year, we forgot to renew our domain name and the site went down for a few days while we sorted that out. This year, sad to say, we forgot again (okay, I forgot), so we went down again.

But hey, we're back, so, you know, no harm, no foul...

Right?

This is kinda cool. In case you were wondering about the reading level of this site...
