Pakistan's minister of tourism has handed in her resignation after criticism from a hard-line Islamist cleric for hugging her parachute instructor after a charity jump in France, an official said.
Nilofar Bakhtiar made the jump in March to raise money for victims of an October 2005 earthquake that killed 73,000 people in Pakistan.
A pro-Taliban cleric called on the government to sack her for "obscenity."
Her resignation cited unavoidable circumstances but did not elaborate. The Dawn newspaper had quoted her as saying that "some irresponsible elements in Pakistan presented this noble cause in a malicious manner."
It's not just "Muslim" men!!
I'm hear to tell you it's not just Muslim men, it's "men" in general. I've never been so sickened by what the men in America (and around the world) are doing to our children, women, and unborn babies (not to mention one another). It seems as though every day I hear (read) of another horrendous crime committed by man against an innocent human being. I can't count the number of men right here in America who have murdered their wives, children and unborn child. Men around the world have become barbaric!!!!!
Of course, not ALL men are barbaric! And women kill their children too sometimes! and isn't hierarchy the cause of much strife?! We are all sadly stunted by this "Dominator" culture that has been taking over the world for many thousands of years. Gender is a factor in it, I acknowledge, but as one in possession of testes myself, I deny barbarism, with the possible exception Noble Savagery. :) Decadence ... hedonism ...
